LOOKS GOOD. PRINTS BAD.
A polished image can hide weak geometry, poor tolerances and a model nobody has properly tested.
From first idea to repeat sale, HQ is being built to help you research the opportunity, prove the rights, plan the material, price every real cost, launch the listing and learn what deserves another print.
Built by a 3D-print seller who started with licensed designs, learned to design original products to stay ahead, and got tired of running the rest of the business through spreadsheets, folders and disconnected tools.
PRIVATE ALPHA IN DEVELOPMENT / FIRST TESTERS SOONA model can appear in minutes. It still has to print cleanly, stand out, be legal to sell and leave enough margin to deserve another run.
ONE PRODUCT / FOUR HIDDEN BUSINESS PROBLEMS
A polished image can hide weak geometry, poor tolerances and a model nobody has properly tested.
When multiple shops sell the same product, price becomes the easiest difference—and the margin disappears first.
Filament is only the visible cost. Labour, failures, fees, packaging, advertising and replacements decide what you actually keep.
The licence is in an email. The cost is in a spreadsheet. The photos are in a folder. The full story is nowhere.
I started by selling physical prints from commercially licensed designs. As printers became easier to buy and the same products appeared everywhere, competing mainly on price stopped feeling like a sustainable business.
I learned to design my own products to stay ahead. That solved one problem—and exposed all the others.
I still had to decide what was worth making, prove the licence, choose the material, get clean photos, write listings, price failures and fees, manage orders and work out which products deserved more printer time.
HQ is the system I wish I had during that journey.— Alex, founder of HQ and 3D-print seller
HQ is being built around a living Product Record that keeps the design, rights, materials, photos, listings, orders, failures and real profit connected.
Your printer remains the printer.
HQ becomes the business memory.
What can I legally sell?
Where should I list it?
What does it really cost?
What photos and information do I need?
What am I forgetting?
HQ is being built to turn those questions into a guided launch path instead of a week of tabs, videos, spreadsheets and guesswork.
Which product is actually profitable?
Which channel is draining margin?
Which licence expires next?
Which failures keep repeating?
What deserves more printer time?
HQ is being built to connect those answers across products, files, listings, orders and real performance.
One Product Record. More useful as the business grows.
Founding testers will see what we are testing, challenge our assumptions, help rank the real problems and see what changed because of their feedback.
Share what is being tested, what is delayed and what is not working.
Features should earn their place through real workflows—not because they make the pricing page look longer.
Show what changed after feedback instead of collecting suggestions into a silent form.
A feature that looks impressive but solves no useful seller problem should not survive.
We know the fear: another subscription that launches loudly, collects payments and then goes quiet.
Do not take our answer on faith.Judge HQ by the build log, the changelog and whether seller feedback changes what ships.
Commitments for the coming private-alpha programme. We are inviting current sellers and serious beginners to help choose the first workflows, test private builds and tell us where HQ is wrong.
